Project Portfolio Management Intern

Position Overview: The Project Portfolio Management Intern will play a key role in establishing and managing the project portfolio management process within the company. This position is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is eager to gain hands-on experience in project management and contribute to the successful execution of various projects.

The position reports to the CFO. Location: Dordrecht. The internship is intended to last for a period of 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Setup:
    • Lead the development and implementation of a project portfolio management process.
    • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and define project selection criteria.
    • Create templates, tools, and documentation to support the project portfolio management process.


  • Project Tracking and Reporting:
    • Identify and escalate potential risks and issues to ensure timely resolution
    • Monitor and track the progress of projects within the portfolio.
    • Prepare regular reports and dashboards to provide insights into project performance and status.

  • Data Analysis:
    • Analyze project data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
    • Provide recommendations for optimizing project performance and resource allocation.
    • Support decision-making by providing data-driven insights and analysis.

  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Communicate project portfolio updates to stakeholders, including project managers, team members, and senior management.
    • Facilitate meetings and discussions to ensure alignment and collaboration across projects.
    • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for executive review.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Projects).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
